Here are the basics:
Floating is about disconnecting yourself from everyday distractions— think of it as taking a sabbatical from your senses.
The entire range of stimuli that that we’re constantly assaulted with gets left at the door; within the tank you are virtually removed from the outside world.
You won’t be fighting gravity. The 1200 pounds of Epsom salt in the water makes it extremely dense, allowing you to float effortlessly.
Outside noise won’t reach you. Our walls and tanks are insulated against sound and your ears stay just below the water line, inhibiting any obnoxious noises.
The water is kept near a lukewarm 93.5 degrees Fahrenheit, what’s known as “skin-receptor neutral,” and after awhile you’ll no longer feel where your skin ends and the water begins.
Once you shut the door and the lights fade out, you will be floating in complete darkness.
